It's taken longer than expected, but the renovations at the former Sheesh restaurant at 207 N. Main St., are coming along and the new concept has been officially announced.
Siris will be a barbecue, craft beer bar and cigar lounge when it opens later this year. According to Ian Gray, a media consultant for the property owner Rick Kouza, the goal is for the restaurant to be open this summer.
Plans to renovate the restaurant space were announced last year, the first work done on the site since a fire ripped through the space in 2011. Work was being done to re-purpose the first floor of the building and to dig out the basement to create a two floors of usable space.
However, digging out the basement took far longer than originally planned.
